Recess begins at 12:01 AM on July 15th and ends at 11:59 PM on September 15th

Legislative Meeting Schedule

Tuesday, July 1 – Breakfast; Legislative Meeting

Monday, July 14 - Breakfast; Additional Legislative Meeting and Additional Committee of the Whole (First Budget Vote)

July 15 - September 15 - Recess

Monday, July 28 - Additional Legislative Meeting (Final Budget Vote)

Wednesday, September 17 - Committee of the Whole and Additional Legislative Meeting

Deadlines

The Council will begin recess on July 15th through September 15th. As such, no filings can be accepted during this period (with certain exceptions as outlined below). The Council will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 16th. The following deadlines will be enforced:

• Contracts:

  • The last day to transmit contracts is by 4:00 pm on July 2nd.

  • The count on all contracts properly filed by July 2nd will continue through recess.

  • Contract transmittal will resume beginning at 10:00 am on Monday, August 18th.

• Reprogrammings and GBMs:

  • Unless specifically authorized by Recess Rules, the last day to transmit reprogrammings is by 4:00 pm on June 30th.

  • The count on reprogrammings will stop during recess and will pick back up on September 16th.

  • Transmittal of reprogrammings will resume on September 16th.

• Legislation:

July 1st Legislative Meeting

• All emergency legislation (except contract approval legislation) to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by noon on June 27th.

• All contract approval emergency legislation to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by close of business on June 25th.

• Any measures properly filed by 10:00 am on June 30th will be added to the Secretary's Log of Introductions for approval the next day. All measures filed thereafter will appear on the September Log of Introductions.

September 17th Legislative Meeting

• All emergency legislation (including contract approval legislation) to be considered at the September Legislative Meeting must be properly filed by 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 16th. Please note that all notices of intent to move legislation must be filed and circulated by a Councilmember by noon on September 11th.

• Any measures properly filed by 10:00 am on September 16th will be added to the Secretary's Log of Introductions for approval the next day. All measures filed thereafter will appear on the October Log of Introductions.
