Recess begins at 12:01 AM on July 15th and ends at 11:59 PM on September 15th

Legislative Meeting Schedule

Tuesday, June 30 – Breakfast; Legislative Meeting

Tuesday, July 14 - Breakfast; Additional Legislative Meeting and Committee of the Whole

July 15 - September 15 - Recess

Tuesday, September 22 - Committee of the Whole and Additional Legislative Meeting

Deadlines

The Council will begin recess on July 15th through September 15th. As such, no filings can be accepted during this period (with certain exceptions as outlined below). The Council will resume regular business hours on Wednesday, September 16th. The following deadlines will be enforced:

• Contracts:

  • The last day to transmit contracts before recess is by 4:00 pm on July 1st.

  • The count on all contracts properly filed by July 1st will continue through recess.

  • Contract transmittal will resume beginning at 10:00 am on August 17th.

• Reprogrammings and GBMs:

  • Unless specifically authorized by Recess Rules, the last day to transmit reprogrammings is by 4:00 pm on June 30th.

  • The count on reprogrammings will stop during recess and will pick back up on September 16th.

  • Transmittal of reprogrammings will resume on September 16th.

    
    

• Legislation:

July 14th Legislative Meeting

• All emergency legislation (except contract approval legislation) to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by noon on July 10th.

• All contract approval emergency legislation to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by close of business on July 8th.

• All notices of intent to move legislation must be filed and circulated by a Councilmember by noon on July 9th.

• Any measures properly filed by 10:00 am on July 13th will be added to the Secretary's Log of Introductions for approval the next day. All measures filed thereafter will appear on the September Log of Introductions.

September 22nd Legislative Meeting

• All emergency legislation (except contract approval legislation) to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by noon on September 18th.

• All contract approval emergency legislation to be considered at the Legislative Meeting must be filed by close of business on September 16th.

• Please note that all notices of intent to move legislation must be filed and circulated by a Councilmember by noon on September 17th.

• Any measures properly filed by 10:00 am on September 21st will be added to the Secretary's Log of Introductions for approval the next day. All measures filed thereafter will appear on the October Log of Introductions.
